O God, who guided Saint Bridget of Sweden along different paths of life and wondrously taught her the wisdom of the Cross as she contemplated the Passion of your Son, grant us, we pray, that, walking worthily in our vocation, we may seek you in all things.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Jesus said to his disciples: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. Every branch of mine that bears no fruit, he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own, unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.”

PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL
Through the intercession of Saint Bridget let us present our needs as well as the needs of all people to God:
1. Let us pray for Pope Francis, bishops, priests and deacons so that through preaching the Gospel they may shape compassion in the people of God. We pray to the Lord.
2. Let us pray for all Christians, so that they will never ignore Christ present in the poor, the abandoned and the suffering. We pray to the Lord.
3. Let us pray for those in any power and authority so that through reasonable decisions, they may provide possibilities of help for those with various. We pray to the Lord.
4. Let us pray for families expecting babies, may they be able to accept the gift of new life with gratitude to God. We pray to the Lord.
5. Let us pray for our loved ones who have departed, through God’s Mercy may they enjoy eternal life in Heaven. We pray to the Lord.
6. Let us pray for our liturgical congregation so that following Mary, the Mother of Mercy, along with Saint Bridget, we may faithfully follow Christ who is full of love. We pray to the Lord.
God our Father, hear and answer our prayers, which we have presented to You with faith † and enable us, through recalling the Mysteries of Redemption, to gain light for the renewal of our lives. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS
Most merciful God, who was pleased to create in blessed Bridget the New Man in your image, the old having passed away, graciously grant, we pray, that, renewed like her, we may offer you the acceptable sacrifice of conciliation. Through Christ our Lord.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
By the power of this Sacrament, Lord, we pray, lead us always in your love, through the example of blessed Bridget, and bring to fulfillment the good work you have begun in us until the day of Christ Jesus. Who lives and reigns for ever and ever.
