Waves of small and bigger groups have come through the city. One could have observed them at the marketplace and on Ostrów Tumski, however they were heard all over the city centre.
The atmosphere was slowly calming down after a fire, set by the youth coming from over 40 countries. The most standing out group appeared to be French, Spanish and Italians, singing together e.g. “la Marseillaise”. Senegalese pilgrims accompanied with their drums.
The groups are unbelievably open to each other, commonly shearing the joy of faith.
A favourite show spot undoubtedly became the pillory. It is there, that a young Spanish girl played guitar for her companions. It is there, that a New Caledonia group danced and sang about a possibility of meeting Jesus anywhere.
From time to time the youth shouted: “Jesus of the Bible”.
Carried phones, attached to selfie sticks were used to preserve the memories. The pilgrims were not afraid of taking pictures with the volunteers and were exchanging flags, which they brought to Poland.
Alicja Chaszczewicz, an information volunteer was given the opportunity to talk to the Spanish group. She was told, before the Days in Dioceses the pilgrims visited the Woodstock Festival, which they truly enjoyed. They fallen in love with Wrocław, only wondering why there is so cold and so hot on the other day.
