The next evening, the next MercyFest. The organizers of the stages put a lof of effort to entertain the pilgrims. Foreign guests were asked to dance together, present themselves on the stages and even learn some Polish tongue twisters. Again, five different places in Wroclaw were full of young peoples’ happiness and energy.

At the Wolności Square, pilgrims started the meeting with very cheerful hoorays for Jesus. After a very short musical warm-up, pilgrims form France did the flashmob which was unquestionably a stunning performance. There were more than hundred of them who were wearing their national colors. Then, it was time for the show of the Romanian group that consisted of five people.

– They established an incredible atmosphere due to the song “Stand by me” -said Karolina Nowakowska- a volunteer of the Days in Dioceses.

At 6 p.m. the catholic charismatic community- Wspólnota Dom Boży led the common worship.

– Thanks to them we could praise the Lord, invite him to our hearts and ask him to heal our weaknesses. We could feel love and unity in the air. I believe that such events are the best examples that show how young and strong the Church still is.

Rebecca Peretto, who comes from Italy, had a similiar feedback.

-Mutual fun, dancing, singing and prayers were an incredible experience. I was waiting for it, for soo long already and I’m very grateful, that I got the chance to be here.

In the Teki, the volunteers prepared an exciting and suprising opening to the MercyFest- we could enjoy a view of a couple of hundreds baloones in diffrent colors escaping the stage. The Propaganda Dei gave the most vivid performance we’ve seen in a long time.

In the Park Południowy  there was no end to the integrative dances, traditional polish Polonez, as well as the traditional Irish dance and animation for the World Youth Day Hymn “Blessed Merciful”

At some point, the conferancier entered the stage with a mountaineer’s axe. Firstly he showed it to the crowd, then started waving it around, while pronouncing the name proudly. Obviously he asked Pilgrims to try and repeat the name, which was a tounge twister of some sorts. The volunteer, who was in the crowds of Koreans, heard them trying and she admitted- it was a good try. I think they can already blend in with the Poles.

The second performance from Priest Jakub Bartczak took place near the National Forum of Music. This time he invited the Pilgrims on the stage. The most courages ones turned out to be a pilgrim from Germany and Spain. The first one was cheeried, while permorfing a dance routine and the second one while showing us his rap skills.

During the whole event, people where walking around, taking group pictures and ejoying this unusual crowd.

This is how the voluteer for the Days in the Dioceses- Paulina Mindowicz described the atmposhere on the stage:

– This is one of a few places, where you don’t have to expect any kind of rejection in any shape or form. The only thing that is palpable in the air is the great unity.
